e-tron GT

The design of the e-tron GT is Audi’s ultimate expression of what an electric car should be. And while many manufacturers already offer fully electric cars, Audi is among the most forward-thinking brands in the automotive world, so you know its offerings will set the trend for years to come. The e-tron GT comes in two distinct flavors: the regular e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT.

Both cars are road beasts, but it just so happens that the RS e-tron GT is even bolder than the regular e-tron GT. The RS version of the e-tron GT produces more than 637 horsepower (in boost mode) from its twin engines and achieves a range of 232 miles from its 93 kWh battery.

The RS e-tron GT can accelerate to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. Of course, the regular e-tron GT isn’t slack and delivers the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. For most people, the regular e-tron GT is a reasonable choice, especially considering it’s about $40,000 cheaper than the RS model of similar performance.

An intriguing fact is that Audi’s parent company, Volkswagen, owns the Electrify America network, and Volkswagen also makes great electric cars.

e-tron

The e-tron from Audi is one of the most elegant SUVs, available in two distinct body finishes. The standard e-tron is a low, wide SUV that looks a lot more expensive than its price might suggest. The e-tron is also available as a ‘Sportback’, which means it’s the mandatory coupe version of the SUV and as a sporty S model.

The standard e-tron starts at $65,900 and features two motors and a travel range of 222 miles from its 95 kWh battery. The twin e-tron engines produce up to 402 hp with a special active boost mode. The e-tron S, on the other hand, is more expensive with a starting price of $84,800, but it’s also much more powerful with 496 horsepower and 972 horsepower. The e-tron S is also unique because of its three electric motors, one of which is used to power the front wheels, and the other two to power the rear. The e-tron S is also available as a Sportback model, which is pretty standard at this point for a luxury SUV.

Q4 e-tron

The Q4 e-tron is an affordable alternative to the e-tron and e-tron S models. Just like the other more expensive options from the e-tron, the Q4 e-tron is also available in standard body configurations, in addition to the Sportback model. Pricing for the Q4 e-tron starts at $49,900, and the Q4 e-tron in a standard chassis configuration has a travel range of about 241 miles from its 82 kWh battery.

The non-coupe body design is also practical from a storage capacity perspective, featuring 53.1 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded. In terms of design, the Q4 e-tron isn’t as elegant and doesn’t look as distinctive as the e-tron, but it’s still a decent looking car. The headlights look very futuristic and add some creativity to the car’s exterior, but the grille is not well executed, especially compared to the e-tron.

In terms of performance, the Q4 e-tron doesn’t slack off. Equipped with Audi’s famous quattro AWD, it delivers 295 horsepower from its twin engines. The Q4 e-tron is also equipped with fast charging, and can be recharged from 5% to 80% using a DC fast charger in about 38 minutes.

The Q4 e-tron is also offered with free charging of 250 kWh, obviously using Volkswagen’s own Electrify America infrastructure. This is a very important model for Audi, especially given how important the crossover SUV is in terms of manufacturers’ sales volumes in this segment. Audi models of the electric cars of the future

The future is electric, and this also applies to sports cars. according to CNET Audi plans to replace its halo sports car, the R8, with an all-electric model. Linda Kurtz, Audi’s head of product marketing for Audi Sport, explained that the company wants to “transform the R segment, and the R segment will be all-electric”.
